Who would have ever thought that Schengen, a little village in the South of Luxembourg with approximately 600 inhabitants would one day become a synonym for what is considered to be an extraordinary idea to bring European nations and their citizens closer they have ever been before. Agreement signed on June 14, 1985 between 5 countries is described as the true beginning of what we know now as European Union.
