Responsibilities:

  • Take overall responsibility for the efficiency and output of the Client Accounting and Valuations functions
  • Manage the timely and accurate production of monthly, quarterly and annual financial and management reports
  • Manage the engagement profitability of all team clients, constantly striving to improve profitability of the
  • team
  • Take responsibility for the overall quality and service levels of team
  • Contribute to business ad-hoc projects as required
  • Ensure financial statements prepared are in line with UK GAAP/IFRS or other appropriate standards
  • Review of administrators transactions on TNR or other fund and accounting systems operated by the Group
  • Leads, coaches and motivates the team in order to develop their capabilities through on-the-job training, appraisals and ongoing performance management
  • Establishes high standards for the quality of the output from each team member/contractor
  • Responsibility for the financial management of the team
  • Responsibility for ensuring that team deadlines and review deadlines are met
  • Development/enhancement of team specific procedures
  • Conduct appraisals for senior members of the team
  • Recruitment interviews for senior hires
  • Develop internal short courses
  • Present internal short courses and training sessions
  • Coach team in relation to client activities and procedures
  • Coach team in relation to time management and prioritization skills
  • Conduct appraisals for direct reporting team members
  • Daily input of time on timesheet
  • Review of team’s time sheets
  • Understanding what is appropriate and acceptable in relation to AML and other compliance obligations
  • Dealing with matters in a timely manner
  • Responsible for participating in appropriate projects and initiatives
  • Attend and constructively contribute to Client Accounting meetings
  • Responsible for reporting of client accounting matters to Executive, Board and Management meetings
  • Prepare financial statements for a wide range of client structures with LUX GAAP or IFRS standards
  • Compile a full file of working papers for all financial statements prepared
  • Liaise with auditors in respect of the financial audit of client entities as required
  • Ensure that financial statements prepared are completed and signed off within client
  • Liaise with clients and external contacts to obtain and provide required information
  • Prepare Net Asset Values for TNR clients
  • Monitor profitability and recoverability of engagements
  • Ensure that functions are carried out in accordance with agreed fee levels
  • Identifying and reporting to client accounting manager re potential overruns at the earliest opportunity
  • Assist with the creation and maintenance of client specific accounting procedures
  • Assist with fee quotes for potential clients that will be maintained on TNR
  • Assist with and contribute to ad hoc projects as required including administration assistance with clients

Requirements:

  • Recognized accounting qualification (ACCA or ACA)
  • At least 6 years of professional experience
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a management role
  • Direct experience of producing financial statements for a variety of corporate entities within various jurisdictions
  • Experience in producing financial statements to LUX GAAP or IFRS
  • Experience of developing and coaching others
  • Comprehensive knowledge and detailed understanding of the industry and accounting legislation,
  • A detailed understanding of the local finance industry and regulator requirements
  • Detailed knowledge of LUX GAAP or IFRS
