Responsibilities:

  • Act as the CCO registered with the CSSF and the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) for the company's services providers
  • Implement and enforce the Group Compliance strategy in Luxembourg
  • Communication and rollout of group compliance policies and processes locally
  • Oversee and review the completion of all regulatory reporting and the submission to the relevant regulator as required in terms of CSSF
  • Regulatory engagement on an ongoing basis
  • Establishment of an end-to-end compliance and financial crime framework for the PFS regulated entity (drafting of compliance policies, implementing a monitoring and creating general compliance awareness across the business)
  • Perform horizon scanning and monitor conformance with applicable laws and regulations covering a diverse field
  • Ensure the timely reporting of compliance risks and incidents within the regulated entity
  • Undertake the MLRO function and be the main point of contact for dealing with Suspicious Activity Reports and the escalation of sanctioned individuals and entities
  • Deliver training to the business areas on AML/CTF Risks
  • Oversee and assist the implementation of appropriate operational and control procedures to mitigate compliance risk. This includes compliance related input to the development of new or significant changes to existing services and business capabilities
  • Report on an ongoing basis to senior management on compliance and AML related issues with a reporting line to the Local Boards and Group Services
  • Assist with the promotion of a culture of compliance and awareness within the organisation by inter alia coordinating and implementing compliance projects and training initiatives
  • Provide compliance advice to all stakeholders as well as the resolution of all related queries with clients
  • Oversee the compliance function developing the Compliance Team
  • Manage the performance and deliverables of all the members of the Compliance Department

Requirements:

  • A relevant Degree in either Legal; Accounting or Economics or alternate Compliance and Risk qualifications
  • A track record of experience of at least 5 years gained in specifically in CSSF and any other applicable legislation
  • Track record of experience as the registered Chief Compliance Officer of a PFS entity, exposure to compliance in an administration firm specialising in Regulated and Unregulated Capital Markets; Private Equity; Real Estates (including Depository)
  • Communication - Convey information in a clear, concise, and logical manner and communicate persuasively at senior management level
  • A track record of experience interacting on board level and providing strategic compliance input to business initiatives
  • A track record of interaction with the relevant regulatory authorities (CSSF & CRF)
  • Analytical and Logical Reasoning - Review complex written documents, drawing inferences and developing logical thinking and problem-solving abilities as well as structuring and evaluating arguments
  • Research regulations and other information and provide concise relevant summaries to the business and the broader Compliance Team
  • Manage time and workloads. A strong work ethic. The ability to juggle competing priorities. Work in an organized manner using efficient filing and data storage techniques
  • Collaborate with others to reach a common goal and coordinating and sharing information and knowledge
  • Cultivate relationships with colleagues, staff, clients, experts, vendors and others
  • Developing and Coaching members of the Compliance Team to their full potential
