Responsibilities:

  • Carry out the tasks of the accounts payable function: processing purchase invoices, processing employee expense claims, processing credit card expenses, ensuring correct sign offs and authorities are completed for any expenditure, preparing bank payment instructions, preparing journals and uploads to Sun systems
  • Make accounting entries for payroll and bank postings
  • Assist with post month-end balance sheet reconciliations and P&L analysis as part of the team’s monthly financial control protocol
  • Reconcile and settle inter-company balances (in co-ordination with wider company's Finance function)
  • Provide accounting administration support for the Real Estate SPVs
  • Review and development of processes and procedures to accommodate business changes
  • Build an understanding of the relationship between the Lux entities and the wider company Group
  • Build relationships and strong communication channels with the wider company's Finance function
  • Assist Accountant and Finance Manager with statutory and regulatory reporting tasks examples of which could include monthly results analysis, regulatory returns, VAT returns as required
  • Ad hoc departmental tasks

Requirements:

  • Part qualified accountant
  • Working knowledge of accounting standards (Lux GAAP and IFRS)
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good communication skills
  • Build good relationships internally and externally
  • A flexible and adaptable approach
  • Effective analytical skills
  • Build good relationships internally and externally
  • Ideally bilingual (English plus either French or German)
  • Effective problem solving skills
  • Good technical ability
