Responsibilities:

  • Supervision and monitoring of investment strategies and portfolio performance in compliance with fiduciary, statutory and regulatory requirements
  • Support the evaluation of investment and divestment opportunities proposed to the Investment Committee (IC)
  • Implement improvements to Portfolio Management (PM) processes, and to identify and implement adhoc Portfolio Management projects.
  • Identify and document client investment strategies and key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Ensure the identification and monitoring of KPIs/ benchmarks at asset and portfolio level
  • Liaise with internal and external clients
  • Prepare/monitor performance reports
  • Present performance reports at Client IC / Internal Conducting officer meetings
  • Supervise the organization of IC meetings
  • Review IC agendas and recommend discussion points
  • Periodically review effectiveness of IC meeting documentation
  • Design and manage IC meeting trackers and logs
  • Design and manage information systems and flows
  • Participation as member of IC meetings
  • Review of Investment Approval forms following IC meetings
  • Design and review templates of minutes of the IC meeting
  • Follow up of action points from IC meetings
  • Monitor and document the relevant regulations and legislation applicable from time to time
  • Review PM processes and make recommendations to maintain compliance with relevant regulations and legislation applicable
  • Ongoing review and improvements to PM processes
  • Research investment strategies and best practice
  • Review external market information
  • Maintain networks with PM professionals

Requirements:

  • University degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics or similar professional qualification
  • Experience of developing and coaching others
  • Adequate professional experience in a similar role
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the Fund Industry and regulatory requirements with focus on asset or Portfolio Management
  • Experience in portfolio analysis, asset or Portfolio Management with focus on debt and credit asset classes
  • Good knowledge and understanding of AML and KYC requirements
  • Ability to review and/or prepare comprehensive reports including board minutes
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Proficiency in English language, both written and spoken
  • Good working knowledge of French language. Other language skills an advantage
