Official campaigning for Luxembourg’s referendum has began. On June 7th, 2015 Luxembourgers will be asked to vote on three specific questions:
1. Should teenagers aged 16 or over be given the active right to vote. The active right means that they would be able to vote but not run in elections.
2. Should non-Luxembourg nationals be allowed to vote in national elections on the condition that they have lived in Luxembourg for at least 10 years.
3. Should Minister’s continuous mandates be limited to 10 years (two terms).
The Luxembourg government coalition including DP, LSAP and Déi Gréng as well as Déi Lénk support all three proposals CSV and ADR on the other hand opposes all three of them.
